“My friend Jim Maxwell and I have organized annual driving tours for authentic A.C. Cobras since 2006. Because of our cars’ rarity and value, we seek out special and below-the-radar designations for our entrants. Twice in recent years our Cobra Tours were based in downtown Chattanooga.
An odd place to host a tour? Not really.
Some of the East Coast’s best driving roads could be reached within just a few minutes of the city, with day trips into North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama possible. At the end of each day, we had all the amenities of a world-class city: five-star lodging, dining, shopping, and nightlife. Initially our entrants might have been skeptical, but they all left as converts.
